1 Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 6-cavity donut pan with cooking spray to grease. 2 In a bowl whisk applesauce and egg whites. 3 Prepare 2 dry mixes:Bowl 1: vanilla protein powder, peanut butter powder, flour and baking powderBowl 2: chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, flour and baking powder 4 Add half wet mixture into each bowl, and gently fold each until combined.DO NOT OVER-MIX or gluten from flour or protein powder will bake donuts dense. Batter should be thick 5 Divide peanut butter batter evenly among donut pan cavities, and then add chocolate batter (peanut butter should be on bottom). 6 Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the donut comes out dry. 7 Let cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool. Chocolate Glaze: 1 Place chopped chocolate chips and coconut oil in a large microwave safe bowl and microwave about 45 seconds, stirring halfway, until completely melted.Allow to cool slightly. 2 Use spoon to spread chocolate on top (rounded) side of donut. 3 Optionally top with chopped peanut butter cups.View original recipe
