Chocolate Orange Protein Donuts

Unbelievable Chocolate Orange Protein Donuts loaded with flavor but still sugar free. These high protein chocolate orange doughnuts use protein powder, orange juice and applesauce for a sweetener and have no added sugars at all.

Egg Whitesabout ¾ cup, about 186g
cupNon-fat Greek Yogurt56g
cupOrange Juicefrom 1 orange, 60ml
tbspOrange Zestfrom 1 orange
Chocolate Topping:

Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 12-hole donut pan with cooking spray to grease.
In a large bowl, whisk together applesauce, egg whites, yogurt and orange juice.
In another bowl, mix flour, protein powder, cocoa powder and baking powder.
Add dry mix to wet and mix with a large spoon until almost combined.
Add orange zest and mix completely.
Mixture will be runny.
Divide mixture evenly among donut pan cavities, filling about ⅔-¾ way up.
Bake for 15-16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the donut comes out clean.
Let cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool.
Chocolate Topping:
Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring - for about 45 seconds until completely melted.
Let cool slightly.
Use the back of a spoon or knife to spread on top of donuts.
